Characteristics:
It corresponds to a byproduct derived from Inositol production, whose phosphorus contributions are similar to those of dicalcium phosphate. However, being a product of vegetable origin (Corn), it presents a bioavailability very close to 100%. Of the nine isomers of Inositol, only Myo-Inositol is important in the metabolism of animals and plants, presenting itself in the latter as phytic acid (IP6) in the form of calcium and magnesium salts called phytates. These compounds can be found in legumes and some cereals such as corn, wheat, and rice.
